BLOND AMBITION
When I grow up I want to be just like my favorite california based designers. We have a lot in common: specialize in corsets, love shiny, sparkly, spiky things and have an imagination taller than your average sky scraper. Who do I mean?? None other than The Blonds......the darlings of pop couture!
They are Phillipe Rolano and David Trujillo, also known as Phillipe and David Blond.Their label was launched approximately 7 years ago, sometime near or about 2004. Phillipe Blond started his design career as a M.A.C make-up artist, and David was a window dresser for stores such as Macy's in New York and Saks Fifth Avenue in Bal Harbour, Florida. Hard to believe the duo did such jobs before answering their true calling of corset masters.
Years later, they are fully esttablished and well loved by many including today's top celebrities. Each of their amazing designs are handmade, takes between 4-6 weeks to produce and also one of a kind. You can expect to pay for their creative talent as prices start at 6,000 and up!
A combination of gorgeous corset based garments mixed with other sexy designs embellished with extra crystals, spikes, beads, studs, etc. makes their collections stand out from the rest!
Lets take a peak at the masters at work....
Lady Gaga, katy perry, Kylie Minogue, Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, Amber are amongst the troop of celebrities who love the blonds. I love their creativity and aspire to be just like them. They are my biggest inspiration of the moment. Keep up the ggod work guys!

In Paris they have Dior, in the USA they have Marchesa. Founded in 2004, Georgina Chapman and Keren Graig set out to style famous Hollywood in the best and most amazing dresses. They're the no.1 dresses on the red carpet. Marchesa is named after socialite Marchesa Luisa Casati. British born Georgina Chapman and Keren Graig met at Chelsea College of Art and Design in London. Georgina, a 2001 graduate of the Wimbledon School of Art, began her career as a costume designer. Keren graduated from Brighton Art College in 2000 and subsequently focused on print and embroidery design. Georgina’s draping and design paired with Keren’s textile creations resulted in the establishment of Marchesa in 2004. Their designs are truly a mark of outstanding craftmanship and couture. After being so successful they started a more affordable RTW line in 2006, Marchesa Notte. In 2010 they started the Marchesa bridal line. Their dresses are absolutely breathtaking not to mention the price tag!!
