Yeezy Season IV : fashion or fail?

Its that time again....when all our favourite and not so favourite designers show off what they think will be hot for the months ahead on the worlds' catwalks....FASHION WEEK SEPTEMBER 2016

YEEZY SEASON IV

By no means necessary am I a hater...BUT....I'm having an incredibly difficult time swallowing the pill prescribed by Mr.West to my fellow fashionistas worldwide. I am an advocate of following your dreams..and where possible...doing everything necessary for them to physically manifest; however, I can't find it within myself to accept Kanye's latest collection as fashionable, stylish or new. The pieces could easily pass for stuff we see in Primark...ok maybe thats a stretch...but definitely The Gap. It appears Mr.West is still in the infant stage of his design career and continues to  play it safe by sticking to neutrals (black, beige), and blatantly lacks creativity in the design aspect. Other than those plastic boots....which I still can't decide if I love or hate......the best part of the Yeezy Season IV show was no doubt the Kardashians and what they wore! Sorry to any of you who actually like this collection....guess the rich and famous can get away with anything 🙄

THE BRAID IS HOTTER THAN EVER 

Call them what you want....cornrows...boxer braids....plaits...braids are here to stay!

MTV VMA's 2016

So the 2016 MTV VMA's were suppose to be all about RIHANNA getting the Mtv Vanguard Award...but if you ask me....Queen Bey's red carpet dress and mini-concert performance stole the show! Of course we all love Rihanna but at times her performances can seem more karaoke than real singing. Even some of the costumes / outfits they put her in or way tooo much 🙄. That being said, the show was more hype than entertainment. It is what it is....when it comes to the media we know by now...it's all about dollars, skin and ratings.
